This course is intended for people who require a valid Basic VCA diploma for their work. This diploma demonstrates that an employee has basic knowledge of safety and health issues. They are familiar with the Working Conditions Act and regulations, recognizing unsafe situations and actions and preventing occupational accidents.

This course consists of two parts:

• E-learning Basic VCA
• Basic VCA exam

The theory of Basic VCA is explained through an e-learning. It is possible to stop and restart the e-learning at any time and therefore does not have to be completed in one go. With the e-learning participants can prepare themselves for taking the Basic VCA exam.

After an exam date has been set, the login information of the e-learning will be sent to the participants. The exam can take place at AOC Snijders or at one of the exam locations of the examination agency. A Basic VCA exam consists of 40 questions in various forms. A participant has passed the exam when at least 2,580 (64.5%) points have been obtained. The diploma is valid for 10 years. The diploma details are entered in the diploma register of the VCA exam bank.

The subjects in the e-learning meet the attainment targets as laid down by the Centraal College van Deskundigen under supervision of  Stichting Samenwerken Voor Veiligheid.

Teaching materials

The login codes for the e-learning will be sent to the participants. The results of the mock exam in e-learning do not have to be shown at the exam location.

Course duration and times

You’ll have 60 minutes to complete your Basic VCA exam.
